Today I have been tasked with writing about tote bags. I will admit right from the start that I have two other things on my mind just now: I would really like to be chopping kindling as it is not raining just now. I would rather be drinking the large cup of tea and eating the bowl of toffee crunch cookies that are next to me and I'm finding very distracting. People often ask me where my ideas come from and what inspires me. I have thought a lot about that and now here is my long winded answer...

Ok, I am about to give a short lecture. As many of you know, I make tea towels. Lovely ones. Now, I have some important information to share with you. If you are going out to a friend’s house for supper soon, AND you are planning on taking a bottle of wine, this is what you need to do. First, buy one of my tea towels!  OK OK, you are allowed to do this with someone else’s tea towel but we would love it if you would buy one from us too. However, I will never know if you did buy from us...

I see a lot of information online about the history of the tea towel so no need to repeat that. Instead, I will tell you about our history with the tea towel. We began printing on tea towels in 2013 which is about 200 years after they became a popular item in Britain. Although tea towels were designed for drying your dishes you will probably have quickly realized they are great for mopping up messes, hanging on the wall to cover up an electrical box or even framing as an art piece.   We always tell people that we would prefer they...
